The Shed’s gone barking mad!
Maggie’s Centre offer a unique kind of cancer care. Bright and welcoming spaces, help with managing stress and money worries and a friendly place to go when you need someone to listen.
To raise awareness of Maggie’s and the support the charity provides people with cancer, a pack of giant Scottie dogs will be coming to Glasgow in summer 2026.
Each Scottie on the trail will be unique, designed and painted by talented artists, and sponsored by local businesses.
One of the Scotties in Buchanan Galleries.
And the Men’s Shed Govan will be doing our bit to help.
We will build as many of the plinths that the Scotties sit on as Maggie’s needs us to. It may be as many as fifty.
The first one has been done and is now live in Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow.
We’ll post updates as we roll out with the Maggie’s team.
In the meantime, here’s a wee look at the work we’ve done. But, don’t forget, this is about Maggie’s and cancer and charity and please support them if you can.
The core Shed build team were James, Scott and Bobby. Here’s Bobby and James at Buchanan Galleries with Lochie the Scottie on the plinth they built for him.
The Maggie’s team kindly name checked us for doing the plinths…. it was our pleasure.
