We went a wee bit doon the watter …

The ladies from Inverclyde Shed with some of our Men.

I’ll sing of a river I’m happy beside
The song that I sing is a song of the Clyde
……..”

Going to visit another Men’s Shed further down the Clyde was always going to be a pleasure.

A minibus full of us set off for sunny Greenock, the starting point for many Doon The Watter holidays, to visit the Inverclyde Shed.

The guys (and gals) of the Inverclyde Shed were wonderful and treated us royally; tea, coffee, biscuits, soup … lovely!!

They gave us an interesting tour of their setup and we will admit to being a little envious of the quality of their workshop.

Any pervasive jealousy dissipated when we realised they didn’t have a pool table.

After the visit to the Shed, splinter groups formed between those who had wives and significant others to return to and those who were driven by more fundamental urges - who retired to a local hostelry.

We think that the latter group are all accounted for and returned safely.

Thank you Inverclyde Shed. We had a great day and we hope to see you in sunny Govan some time in the not too distant.
