Memorial Bench for Aberlour Children’s Charity

Aberlour Children’s Charity celebrates its 150th year this year. The charity helps disadvantaged children and families in Scotland have a brighter future. It is is one of Scotland’s most enduring and significant organisations and has improved the lives and life chances of generations of children

When John Hendry from Aberlour approached the Men’s Shed to ask if we could make a memorial bench to celebrate this significant milestone, we didn’t hesitate. It was a no-brainer. Many of the children impacted by Aberlour would be in Govan. We were delighted to be involved.

Gordon Anderson from the Shed made the bench. The sign was crafted by our ace pyrographer, Scott.

Gordon delivered the bench in person and gave the Aberlour youth workers a lesson in joinery while he was there.

Aberlour are delighted with the bench and we were delighted to have been involved.

Win-win :-)
